Serpico

IQ-04 Serpico “Magnetic Senswe” b/w “Screamin' Paris”
Manchester’s Didsbury Massive members Serpico, KTB and Utopian all produced their drum ‘n’ bass tracks from a 300 year old abandoned residence they shared. From the north bank of the Mersey, Kevin, or K.Ce, produced his tracks from the Didsbury studio on his Cubase-equipped Atari running on ‘borrowed electricity’ from a neighbor’s line. In addition to his production assistance on Utopian’s debut 12”, K.Ce’s alter ego as Serpico yielded the ‘Magnetic Sense’ b/w ‘Screamin Paris’ 12” follow-up to the ‘Funky Shit’ split 12” with Gene Stealers on Prohibition Recordingz (PHB—008; released in April 1998). K.Ce also did remix work for Denise Johnson ('Inner Peace' Cat Danger Mix on Hologram) and Smallstone Disciple ('Cyberfunk' Science Mix on Lo-Fi Recordings). Pressing of 300 copies. SOLD OUT.
